Spread across 30 hectares of hillside, the lodge is surrounded by majestic Baobab (Mbuyu) trees and indigenous African hardwoods. The land, entrusted to us by the local community, has been carefully preserved in its natural state. The main building and tents are designed to blend harmoniously with the environment, with solar-heated water and landscaping featuring indigenous plants to conserve water.

Sangaiwe Mbuyu Tented Lodge offers 15 luxury en-suite tented rooms, each thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with nature. The tents are elevated on wooden platforms and feature a solid attached bathroom, toilet, and dressing area. Modern comforts include spacious walk-in showers and separate WCs. For your convenience, each room is stocked with personal care products in easy-to-use pump jars.
Every tent features either twin or king-size beds, a writing desk, ample luggage storage, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas, offering the perfect setting for relaxation.
Step onto your private deck and take in stunning views of Tarangire National Park and Lake Burunge. Thanks to the lodge’s close proximity to the park, it’s not uncommon to spot elephants, zebras, buffalo, and other wildlife right from your verandah, offering a truly immersive safari experience.
